Registration

Can anyone enter?

Yes, anyone can! There is a race category for everyone.

How can I register?

Online registrations will open soon.  Register as soon as possible to take advantage of the early bird discount rates.  Online registrations will close on 12th April at 9.00am.  If you miss this, you can register on Race Day – Saturday 23rd November. You will need to register at least 45 mins prior to your race time with Registrations in the Registration Marquee located at the bottom of Neptune Street.

How do I get there?

There are many ways to reach Coogee.

Bus: From the city: 374,373. From Bondi Jnct: 316

Drive: Parking at Coogee is usually limited in Summer. There is council ticket parking at the northern end of the beach and next to Coogee oval. Most street parking is limited to 2 hours, except for residents

Race Info

When is the race?

The Coogee Climb will be held on Saturday 13 April. All participants should arrive at least 45mins prior to their race start and check-in at the Registration Marquee, located at the bottom of Neptune Street. Check-in closes 15mins prior to its scheduled start time.

Where is the course?

The start line for the Coogee Climb is at the bottom of Neptune Street, Coogee.

The course follows Neptune Street until a left turn onto Dundas Street, then a right turn onto Rainbow Street. The finishing line is located at the peak of the Rainbow Street hill, just before the Ardern Street intersection.

Running is not for everyone, but if you’re keen to help out, you can volunteer at Coogee Climb! Volunteering is a great way to engage with the community and get to know people, as well as raise funds for The Royal.

What is the best type of training for this event?

The only way to become proficient at ascending hills is to run on hills! There are many resources online to guide you, such as this example.

School Team Challenge

Enter as a school group. Can you get more participants than other schools?

When registering for your school team you need to first join a group, and type in your school’s name. If you are the first to enter you may need to set up the ‘group’ with your school name. If it exists already, click ‘join group’ then complete your individual registration.
