Starting at the bottom of Neptune Street, the course takes a left onto Dundas Street, before tackling the mighty slope of Rainbow Street
The Coogee Climb For The Royal is an uphill run starting at Trenerry Reserve, and will see participants ascend Coogee’s steepest hill. The course sees participants run or walk up Neptune Street, before turning left on Dundas Street, right at Rainbow Street to the finish line at the corner of Rainbow and Denning Streets near Blenheim Park. The hill is some 500 metres in length and in some sections the gradient is 13%. The final pitch up Rainbow Street to the finish line is the steepest section, which sees participants gain 32 metres of elevation from the top to the bottom of the course and a maximum elevation of 68 metres.
